A 1996 recipient of Lawyer of the Year honors by the Alameda County Lawyers Club, Mr. Johnson was admitted to the California Bar in 1969. He is a graduate of Hastings College of the Law (J.D., 1968) and the University of California Berkeley (A.B., 1965). He is a member of the State Bar of California, Contra Costa County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California. Mr. Johnson served as Director of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California (1988-89 and 1997-98), as well as Deputy District Attorney of Alameda County (1971-1974). He served on the Board of Directors of the Alameda County Lawyers’ Club (1975-1979), and the Board of Directors of the Alameda County Bar Foundation (1997). He is a former member of Earl Warren – American Inn of Courts (1999-2001). Mr. Johnson has an active civil trial practice and regularly serves as mediator. He is an ADR Panel Member for the Contra Costa County Court and member of The Mediation Society. |
